It's not quite like having your picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone, but this one made me smile. For several summers now I've found my way to Brooklin Maine to spend a week or two learning to build canoes and other small wooden boats at the Woodenboat School. Courses are so popular that many of them fill on the first day of registration in January. I've always had a great time at the school and love building boats, so I was pleased when my friends emailed me to tell me I had a mug shot in the Woodenboat School catalog.Must confess to not being faculty, though somehow ending up in the faculty section. Won't take much detective work to figure out which one is this old salt.
